ABOUT ISABELLA
Isabella Gerosa is a Toronto-based artist, working professionally as a dancer, choreographer, and educator. She believes movement is a powerful form of expression—one that should be experienced physically, spiritually, and musically. Isabella began dancing at the age of three and now brings over 18 years of experience to her practice. Known for her artistic spirit and versatility, she approaches every project with creativity, discipline, and authenticity.
She specializes in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, West African, and street styles. Her background extends across multiple creative disciplines, with notable collaborations involving actors, voice, and film. She has taught and partnered with dance artists of all ages through both classes and private lessons.
Isabella has choreographed for the Young Creators Challenge, earning a Top 3 placement (2019), the International Women’s Conference Gala in Toronto (2024), Fever After Dark (2025), and was both a choreographer and dancer in the Starry Night Arts Festival through Arts Orillia (2025). Her performance experience includes DaCo Show, at the Four Seasons Centre (2025), live works by choreographers Roberto Campanella, Pulga Muchochoma, Kevin O'Day, and appearances on stages across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
Her foundational training at Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance has significantly shaped her approach to movement and artistry. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Performance Dance at Toronto Metropolitan University. Guided by a deep curiosity and love for both sharing and learning, Isabella radiates vibrancy and sensitivity to every creative endeavor.

Isabella Gerosa is a rare force. A talent both ferocious and deeply human...
Isabella is completely unencumbered in her ability to create powerful, moving work. As she continues to build her repertoire she playfully incorporates stories of human connections, experiences, and rhythm beautifully conveying the simplicity of humanity. Her voice is as authentic as it is unforgettable. This is real work.
